Spiren is an urban organic garden where former drug addicts can grow their own plants and vegetables. An open café will be available for everyone where the food served will come from the garden. The goal of this project is to create a space where the former drug addicts can achieve a sense of accomplishment, community and responsibility through taking care of plants. The time spent at Spiren will aid in filling the void left from leaving the old habits behind.
